Covid-19 Information

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 1/11/21

We are delighted to welcome all our guests back and resume bookings as normal!

There are currently no Covid-19 related laws  that restrict the number of people or households that can attend.

However be reassured that if you are unable to attend one of our holiday cottages due to any future national lockdown, we will offer refund/postponement options. Postponements would be subject to a £75 administration charge.

When placing a new booking with us, we strongly advise that customers take out their own travel insurance with a reputable provider to cover your booking in the event you have to cancel. It is your responsibility to make sure your cover is sufficient and to cover all likely risks that may affect your holiday which include you or members of your party for being unable to travel because you or a member of your party fall ill with covid, or are required to quarantine or self-isolate. These events can be covered by you taking out travel insurance.  We do not provide this.

There are a number of policies that include cover for illness with covid and self-isolation – you can look for suitable cover on comparison sites such as https://www.gocompare.com/   ( We are not selling, promoting endorsing or recommending any particular product and do not benefit financially from any )

All balances must be paid on time for your booking to be secure –  in the event of any future restrictions we ask that you would wait for our Customer Care team to contact you and that you do not cancel your booking prematurely or normal cancellation terms and conditions will apply.

A Personal Note:

As a small family run business we want to say a huge thank you to all our guests, owners and suppliers for your continued support.

We have processed hundreds of refunds and postponements during what can only be described as a challenging time for all.

We hope good times are ahead for everyone and we look forward to helping all our guests make special memories with your loved ones with our Celebration Stays!

Thank you,

Team Celebration Cottages x

Preparing for your holiday

Do you and your group know the latest restrictions

Please visit gov.uk/coronavirus to review the latest government information regarding Covid-19. It is your responsibility to make sure your group is compliant with the law at all times. If you need to amend your booking we ask that you contact customercare@celebrationcottages.co.uk

It is impossible for us as an agency to know who is related to who and from what household, therefore by booking and arriving at the property you are agreeing to be familiar with all the latest restrictions and abide by the law at all times.

Before You Go

Are you and the rest of your party fit to travel?

Please visit gov.uk/coronavirus to review the latest government information regarding Covid-19. If you or any of your party develop or have any symptoms of Covid-19 within 10 days of your holiday or receive a track and trace alert you must inform us straight away or at least 48 hours before you go by emailing info@celebrationcottages.co.uk Please also inform us if this occurs within the last 48 hours before departing for your holiday. You will need to check your travel insurance regarding their cancellation guidelines.

No refunds or postponements would be offered if you have to cancel due to being contacted by track and trace or if you or a member in your group tested positive or had to self-isolate. We insist you take out your own travel insurance to cover you in the event of you having to cancel due to these reasons – we do not provide this.

Your Car

Has your car has been sat on your driveway or limited to short journeys over the past few months? A full check of tyres, water, oil etc. would be advisable before setting off on any long journeys. If you don’t already have roadside assistance this is another worthwhile consideration.

Checklist - Essential items to take with you

When travelling on holiday during a pandemic, we have listed below some items you may wish to take with you.

  • Face masks - useful if you are visiting any popular tourist attractions, where the volume of people might make it difficult to social distance. Fabric masks should be washed each day so you may need to think about packing a few if you are planning regular days out.
  • Hand sanitiser - for when out and about, where it may not be possible to wash your hands.
  • Handwash
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • First aid kit - including Paracetamol and a thermometer.
  • Picnic blanket
  • Wind break or markers - if you are concerned about social distancing, then a wind break or similar may help guide small children to a ‘safe’ zone.
  • Tickets / advance bookings - if you are planning to visit a local attraction, you may need to book in advance while entrance numbers are reduced, to allow social distancing. Please check before you leave and if possible book your slot in advance.
  • Card and board games, DVDs, books, scavenger hunts and more - you may want to think about a few games to enjoy at your holiday home. If you have visited the property previously and there have been games, DVDs and books, these may have been removed for your safety.

You may want to consider bringing throws for the furniture. We ask all guests to pick up after there dog and leave the garden / outside area as found.
