Property Information

Located in the beautiful Somerset countryside, you can visit Britain’s only Roman hot spring, walk within the Quantock Hills or take a day trip to the seaside at Weston-Super-Mare, all a stones’ throw away from this stunning house. Sentiment is the theme at Hare House Estate: as you enter you will find a large basket filled with champagne and wine corks from guests to remember happy memories created here, which you can add to during your stay. This alluring property is located close to Glastonbury, and mementos of this are displayed throughout the large well-equipped kitchen, with one wall covered in signatures of famous bands and actors that have visited.

 The house boasts a relaxed vibe with a cinema room, hot tub, table tennis and pool table to enjoy with your family and friends. Fire up the barbeque in the pretty gardens, or enjoy the idyllic views from the opulently furnished bedrooms, with White Company bed linen and Bramley toiletries to make your stay comfortable and special. The spacious dining hall with cathedral-height ceilings gives dinner and drinks a real wow factor! Enjoy a private chef preparing and cooking a delicious three-course meal for you and your group, without lifting a finger. They will even clear up afterwards so you can retire to the sitting room with drinks while the children watch a movie in the cinema room. Hare House Estate has something for everyone.

Hot Tub & Living Spaces

On the ground floor, there is the sitting room with a fireplace and flat-screen TV, perfect for cosy evenings. The large dining hall with vaulted ceilings is no less cosy, with another open fireplace and underfloor heating. There is even a piano for the musicians amongst you! The Minstrels gallery is situated above the dining hall and houses the pool table, a great setting to swap stories over a few games. The well-equipped kitchen and breakfast room has a table with six chairs, and you will also find a utility room complete with a washing machine, iron and board, and a comfortable dog bed with bowls, great for your pets after a long walk through the Somerset countryside, or a run along the beach nearby. This leads to the main door where you can enter the formal gardens and enjoy the beautiful nature surrounding the Estate. There is a magical glass open air atrium with decking, which is where you can step into the bubbling hot tub and sink into paradise. To wrap up the evening, enjoy a film with some popcorn in the cinema room which will provide the full experience, with a projector, surround sound and two iPod docking stations. The outdoor space is just as spectacular, boasting a formal courtyard garden filled with flowers, an orchard area and beautifully manicured lawns, with space to dine for sixteen guests, a barbeque and a separate barn with table tennis, badminton net and racquets, fantastic for an early morning energiser before breakfast.

6 Bedrooms

The Master Bedroom sleeps two guests and is located on the ground floor, with an emperor bed finished with White Company linen, TV, walk-in dressing room, and en-suite bathroom with a separate shower cubicle where you can take advantage of luxury Bramley products before curling up for the night. Doors from this bedroom lead to the gardens where you can find a table for two, perfect for late-night glass of prosecco under the stars, or a romantic evening supper together.

The Double Bedroom sleeps two with a comfortable queen-sized double bed, dressing room and en-suite bathroom.

The Suite houses two double rooms, one with a double bed sleeping two guests, and one with a twin room also sleeping two: these are situated to the left and right of the lobby. The large master bathroom is located just across the lobby hallway.

Another Double Bedroom sleeps two guests in twin beds, indulgent as every other sleeping space. There are also two WC toilet rooms on the ground floor.

On the first floor, the enchanted Tower Room sleeps four guests, with a zip and link 6ft bed which is set up as two singles, with an en-suite wet room to wander into, and a walk-in dressing room. This is a great space for getting ready to celebrate that all-important birthday or anniversary! The quality sofa bed in this room sleeps a further two guests.

If you have extra guests in your party, there are another two roll away sofa beds to sleep another two, which can be moved between rooms if you wish.

Booking Information:

  • We require a non-refundable 30% deposit via bank transfer or cheque only at the time of booking, and the full balance is to be paid 12 weeks prior to your stay.
  • Sorry we do not accept credit cards.
  • We require an additional £500 security deposit for this property aside from your required balance, which is refundable 7 days after you vacate the property provided that there are no damages and house rules are kept to. For further info please see Booking Terms & Conditions
  • Please note: All bookings are subject to a booking fee of £115 which is due at the time of booking and is non refundable.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 15/06/21

After the latest government announcement:

RESTRICTIONS DO NOT LIFT UNTIL THE 19TH JULY:

Bookings up until the 19th July should be for 2 households of any numbers of people, or 6 individuals.

It is your responsibility to know if you can attend or need to cancel your booking.

Refunds/postponements would be offered for any cancellations.

We do not know how many households your group consists of, this is impossible to manage as an agent, therefore it is your responsibility to  let us know if you need to cancel or you can proceed with your booking. Our customer care team will contact all guests in this period no later than the 16th June to inform you of the government announcement and ask if you can  proceed with your booking or if you need to cancel. If you wish to cancel your booking we must receive notification of this by no later than the 20/06/21, in order for us to have time to re sell the dates, cancellations after this time may not be refunded. ( Refunds may take up to 30 days due to the volume of admin this announcement has caused, however we will try our best to action any refunds as quickly as possible).

If you wish to proceed with your booking, you will be proceeding based on 2 households and 2 support bubbles of any number of people, or 6 individual households. If you have booked the Cheshire Barn Retreat, The Woodbury Manor House, or the Woodcroft Estate – these properties can be split into 2 separate accommodation parts, therefore you can have 4 Households + 4 support bubbles or 12 individual households separated into 2 parts of accommodation in line with the current rules.

NEW BOOKINGS STAYING BETWEEN THE 14TH JUNE – 19TH JULY 2021.

Anyone who wishes to place a new booking staying between 14th June – 19th July should only be booking for 2 households of any numbers of people or 6 individual households people Max.

If you book and restrictions lift more and you wish to invite more guests extra charges may apply, only the guests on the original booking would be allowed to attend, please contact us if you wish to add anyone onto your booking, this would be at the discretion of Celebration Cottages and the owner of the accommodation to allow this and extra charges may apply.

If you allow any additional guests to the property, who are not on the original booking form, you will be in breach of your contract and the booking will be terminated instantly and you will all be asked to leave with immediate effect. No refund would be given and you may lose your security deposit.

NEW BOOKINGS – LARGE GROUP BOOKINGS – FROM 19th July 2021

We are happy to accept large group bookings with an arrival date from the 19th July 2021 – under our Large Group Policy. Our Large Group Policy fee is £75 and allows you to book for multiple households. Our large group policy will be now be in place for all new bookings from the 19th July 2021 until further notice. Our large group policy fee is not insurance and does not cover you in the event you have to cancel your booking, we insist you take out your own travel insurance for this.

We will offer a refund ( less the booking fee & group policy fee or any other amendment fee already charged ) or postponement should the holiday let have to close by law, ( postponements may be subject to a £75 postponement fee for any dates in 2021 or £115 for any dates in 2021 to cover additional admin )

We will also offer a refund ( less the booking fee and group policy fee or any other amendment fee ) or postponement, ( postponements may be subject to a £75-£115 admin fee ) should restrictions be in place by law ( not guidance ) preventing the mixing of households which would affect your stay

If you had to cancel the booking due to illness, guidance or being contacted by track and trace or you change your mind about your stay – you would not be entitled to a refund and we insist that you take out your own cancelation insurance as we do not provide this.

If you do not pay your balance on time, no refund of the deposit would be made, if you think your stay is unlikely to go ahead, you must still continue with your booking by paying your balance until we contact you to inform you that your stay can no longer go ahead, if you cancel your booking prematurely then you would not be entitled to a refund of your deposit or any monies paid to us.

 

EXISTING BOOKINGS

Our Customer Care team will be contacting all guests who are due to stay up to the 19th July 2021 to give you options of refunds/postponements if your stay cannot go ahead by law.

Due to the sheer amount of admin and increased costs we may be only able to offer postponements with an amendment fee of £75 for 2021 dates and £115 for 2022 dates.

House Rules

Check in time. & Check Out Time

Arrival 3pm Depart 10am

If you would like to arrange an earlier check in or late checkout, we can only organise this for you a few days before arrival as it is subject to same day changeovers and may not be possible if we have guests departing or arriving that same day.

Collecting the Keys & Final Arrangements

After the full balance has been paid – we will email you over all final arrangements.

Activities

If you have booked Activities, our package coordinator will be in touch with you to arrange the times and send you any menus/ spa choices etc, only once the final balance has been paid and numbers are confirmed.

Please note No 3rd party suppliers are permitted at this property unless booked through Celebration Cottages.

Hot Tub

Please note – Any ladies who are pregnant we recommend that you do not use the hot tub.

Please do not use the hot tub if you have fake tan on.

We recommend that a maximum of 15 – 20 mins is spent in the hot tub at any one time, any longer can result in heat rashes or a reaction to the chemicals used in the hot tub.

Hot tub times 10am – 10pm

Please note there will be someone arriving to check the water in the hot tub early in the mornings, but they will try not disturb you.

Security

Please note – At Certain properties there will be a security person who will lock up the hot tub at 10pm.
